Creative Experience

Constance Ejuma is an award-winning actress and producer whose versatile career spans theatre, film, television, and commercials. Born in Cameroon and raised in the Washington, D.C. area, Constance discovered her passion for acting as a teenager and pursued her craft at the University of Toronto, where she earned a degree in theatre. She later received a Master’s Degree in Mass Communications from Leicester University in England, further honing her skills as a storyteller.

Constance is best known for her work on the feature film Ben & Ara, which she both starred in and produced. The film has been screened at festivals worldwide and earned her numerous Best Actress awards, including accolades from the Bronze Lens Film Festival, the American Movie Award, the San Diego Black Film Festival, and the Cannes Pan African Film Festival. Ben & Ara also won the prestigious African Movie Academy Award (AMAA), often referred to as the “African Oscars.”

Her television credits include appearances on FBI: Most WantedSeal TeamThe Good Doctor, and Scorpion. Constance also appeared as a Dora Milaje in Marvel’s Black Panther, earning a SAG Award for being part of the Best Stunt Ensemble.

She has collaborated with celebrated filmmakers and artists, including Nobel Laureate Wole Soyinka, Academy Award Nominee Shohreh Aghdashloo, and Ngozi Onwurah, with whom she worked on the short film Neighborhood Alert, a project that achieved significant success on the international festival circuit.

Currently, Constance is promoting Till Death – a short film she produced – on the international festival circuit while developing a web series Human Resources in collaboration with Yana Bille-Chung and Martina Lee. Her passion for meaningful storytelling was also evident in 2019, when she premiered Ghost Town, a one-woman show, at the Hollywood Fringe Festival, shedding light on Cameroon’s Anglophone Crisis.

With her unique blend of creative talent, cultural insight, and dedication to impactful narratives, Constance continues to inspire audiences worldwide through her work on screen and behind the camera.
